Learn More About Your Followers On Twitter With TwitterSheep

The more followers you have the more it gets harder to keep track of every single one of them, their interests, info and all the things that they are tweeting about.

Here’s a Twitter service that will help you find out more about your followers on Twitter. It works pretty simple. All you need to do is enter your Twitter username on their webpage. (Although they were asking for username and password earlier but many people did not trust them enough to provide password of their Twitter accounts so asking for password is removed now).

After that, it scours your list of followers and pulls together a tag cloud with various keywords to describe all the things they are talking about. So you’ll see the words that get most buzz and that are discussed most. (simple but I found it pretty useful).

The service is called TwitterSheep (what a funny name, compares followers with sheep:) Check it out and post your opinions in comments.

Sad to say, I’m still learning Twitter so I’m hoping I can figure these out. I did get A LOT from the firefox tips though. All your blogs are very informative and I’m sure will help me as soon as I figure out what I’m doing :)

Hey tawanab, it’s pretty simple how Twitter works.
You register, and then just type in few words what are you doing now and then… Or some website you would like to recommend to others or anything at all… whatever comes to your mind.

You follow other people that you see are talking about things you are interested in and you get their tweets (updates) whenever they post something new. When they see your profile page, and they like what you’re talking about (just be cool) they will follow you, which means they track every sentence you type in as a tweet (update).

I hope I clarified use of Twitter to you, at least a bit. And if you have more questions, feel free to ask, I’m always glad to help.

And by the way, stay tuned because I will be writing about how some people creatively use Twitter for various things. That post will surely help you understand the power of Twitter.
